I found this relatively inexpensive unit to be quite good. It uses numerous size staples and staples up to 100 sheets ... also permits stapling booklets with the deep throat. While some complained about the quality, I found the unit to be well made and sturdy. Obviously, based on the very size, weight and long base, throat, and handle, dropping the unit or tossing it around could easily bend it out of alignment ... like most office items, one needs to exercise some care when handling the device ! I recommend this stapler ... it serves me well. Staple sizes it uses: 1/4" (2-20 sheets); 5/16" (21-40 sheets); 3/8" (41-60 sheets); 1/2" (61-90 sheets); 9/16" (91-100 sheets). I keep mine loaded with the 1/2" staples since my primary use of this stapler is for thicker jobs - the 1/2" staples also work fine with fewer sheets than the recommended numbers shown.

I bought this stapler a few years ago and should have returned it. CONSTANTLY jams and once it jams it's VERY hard to get the jammed staples out. It jams even if it's just ten pages of paper! I'm putting this in the trash and buying a different one.

This thing wouldn't even staple 20 pages without hanging up! Then I had to use a screwdriver to get the used staples out, Also, the bottom piece won't stay on and NOW I can't get the staple retainer back in. I can not recommend this item. Don't waste your money on this thing.

Nothing but junk...

I have stapled only about 20 documents up to about 10 pages over the year I've had it. Something I can't figure out has happened to it and it won't drive a 1/4" staple through two sheets.

The staple ends up on top of the sheets with unbent legs... I'm a retired engineer and can't pin down what happened...

I ignored all the bad reviews of this stapler thinking that people just didn't understand how to use it. I was wrong. This stapler will not even staple 30 sheets of paper. My regular staple works far better. I spent about 20 minutes messing with this, and literally, it just doesn't work. Also, it holds barely any staples. This is a total waste of money and I'll be returning it tomorrow. Pay attention to the bad reviews. They are there for a reason.

If I could give this stapler a zero, I would. I purchased this in March and it never works no matter if it's several pages or two pages. I should have returned it a long time ago. It is the biggest waste of money. My small portable stapler works better. I finally bought a real functioning stapler today at staples. Don't waste your money!

It is rather easy to load and it is east to use. It is well made and strong. When stapling a lot of page together is work good. Now I bought to use when my other stapler was not big enough. I am not using it for 2 or 3 sheet which it was not made for.
It is light compared to older one like this, so I am well please and would recommend it.
